Chris Gorton is a cyber security lead at the UK Civil Aviation Authority; with over a decade of experience helping defence and aerospace organisations navigate the challenges of security. Specialising in risk management and governance, Chris uses that experience to engage with multinational working groups, aerospace industry and UK government.
Prior to joining the UK CAA, Chris served in the Royal Air Force where he was employed in multiple disciplines including aviation security, counterintelligence and information security.
A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Chartered member of the UK Cyber Security Council (ChCSP), he is also studying a master’s degree in Aviation Safety Management at Cranfield University.
