Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman of the Board & CEO, Royal Air Maroc

Abdelhamid ADDOU, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, is a distinguished leader with an extensive career across multiple industries. Graduating with a degree in civil engineering from the prestigious Ecole Mohammedia in 1997, he began his career in Procter & Gamble and later Coca-Cola, gaining international exposure in brand management and operational leadership. He subsequently transitioned into the telecommunications sector, holding senior leadership roles at Meditel, before serving as Director General of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), where he oversaw the promotion and development of Morocco’s tourism strategy at a national and international level. 

Following his term at ONMT, Mr ADDOU took on the role of Director General at Diana Holding, a prominent player in the agro-food industry. He later assumed a leadership position at SAEMOG, a tourism and real estate company. 

In 2016, he was appointed by His Majesty the King as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Royal Air Maroc Group, overseeing not only the airline but also its 12 subsidiaries. 

Beyond his national responsibilities, Abdelhamid ADDOU plays a prominent role on the global stage. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and actively participates in the industry strategy and policy Committee. He is Chairing the Executive Committee of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) and serving as a member in the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) Executive committee and the oneworld alliance Governing Board. 

Abdelhamid ADDOU's leadership at Royal Air Maroc has earned him a reputation as an accomplished and visionary leader, and he continues to steer the airline towards new heights while making significant contributions to the global aviation industry.
