Mike Kozak is the Director of Inflight Administration at United. He supports several functions, including management of technology tools and platforms for the Scheduling and Planning teams as they work through their Transformation journey. His team includes the Flight Attendant Support Team (FAST) in the Philippines and South Africa that oversees Training and Non-Operational Scheduling, Return to Work, communications and vendor support processes. Mike’s team also manages the engagement channels with United's team of Flight Attendants as well as the Inflight Analytics & Insights team based in Gurgaon, India. Mike joined United in 2010 as an Industrial Engineer. Since then, he has held a number of positions within Operations, Continuous Improvement and Airport Operations. Most recently, he served as the Chief of Staff supporting the Operations organization. Mike was a co-founder and original board member of Kinnect, United’s BRG focused on supporting working parents and caregivers. Mike was born in Chicago and is proud to work for his hometown airline. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and is a certified lean six sigma black belt. Outside of work, Mike enjoys golfing, using his Peloton, working on home improvements and spending time with his children. He lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife and their two children.
