Dr. Cat Chan is the only board-certified veterinary oncologist with credentials from both the Australian (ANZCVS) and American (ACVIM) colleges. With over 13 years' experience, she is well-published, with more than 11 peer-reviewed publications, a textbook chapter in the latest Ettinger textbook, and several research awards. Dr. Chan is deeply committed to supporting the veterinary community, renowned for her personable, compassionate, thorough, and collaborative approach to every case. As founder and director of The Pet Oncologist, Dr. Chan provides evidence-based, individually tailored online oncology consultation reports, and practical recommendations to veterinarians at over 500 hospitals across more than 30 countries. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and empowering vets to manage cancer in pets with confidence. Dr. Chan also offers in-person mobile ultrasound services in Brisbane and has pioneered the development of complete injectable chemotherapy consumable packs, PPE, and chemotherapy training manuals to streamline safe and effective cancer care globally. She delivers in-person and remote education through lectures, workshops, hands-on clinical training, and free online CE webinars. Outside of work, Cat enjoys time with her three young children, two cats, a much-loved chicken, and, sometimes, her husband Alan.
