Mr. Baray brings over 20 years of diversified experience in the energy sector across developing markets in Asia, having successfully led teams in originating, structuring, and developing energy projects in roles spanning developer, investor, government facilitator, advisor, and energy consumer. Since 2019, he has served as Country Director of ACWA Power Indonesia, where he spearheaded renewable energy projects at sustainable costs and collaborated with government stakeholders to launch new green initiatives and regulations. Prior to this, he spent seven years managing the energy portfolio of LafargeHolcim, the world’s largest cement producer, driving its transition from fossil fuels and thermal power toward alternative energy solutions. He is a strong advocate of an energy transition that is just and sustainable for all.
