Mark is an experienced C-suite executive with over 25 years of experience across public policy, industry development, international trade, outbound and inbound investment, skills development, high growth business support and venture capital. Mark has been involved with industry and investment policy and program development at both state and federal levels across Australia, and has also represented Australia in bilateral trade discussions with ASEAN jurisdictions. He is currently the Managing Partner and Chair of the Investment Committee for Mandalay Venture Partners, an Australian venture fund focussed on agtech and foodtech opportunities. 

Mark has been involved in a number of his own startups in the biotech, real- estate tech, energy and FMCG spaces and prior to founding his own venture capital fund, has been an active angel investor in Australia. Mark has supported businesses through the development of B2B and B2C strategies, marketing and sales strategies, IP strategies, channel management and identification, capital raising, corporate structuring and partnering.

With key experience in Australia, South East Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States, Mark is passionate about supporting and facilitating trade outcomes for Australia through investment, policy and program delivery. He has been an Australian Anthill Maven judge, is a Victorian Leaders Forum mentor and supported various government entities with industry initiatives, delegations, policy development and program delivery. Following his BAppSci, he also completed the Venture Capital Executive Program at the HAAS Business School (University of California Berkeley) on a Victorian Employer’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) scholarship and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
