Oyetunde Oyekunle, Head: Digital And Personal Banking, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc

Oyetunde Adeyinka Adebayo Oyekunle was born in Somolu, Lagos, Nigeria on 13th of October 1972 to a royal family of the Adeoye Alfred Oyekunle and Adesola Oyekunle with roots in Isara-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate at Ogudu Primary School, Lagos and Secondary School education with distinction at Ogudu Grammar School, Lagos. He immediately proceeded to the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun (now known as Olabisi Onabanjo University) where he completed his tertiary education in Computer Science with Accounting (Combined Honors) with one of the best results. He also concluded his postgraduate degree with the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK. Oyetunde Oyekunle is also running another educational programme with the China Europe International Business School, Shanghai. He also ran a programme with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA on Internet of Things.

Oyetunde Oyekunle is a Certified Professional Forensic Accountant, a Project Management Professional, a software architect, developer and designer, a techpreneur, a security specialist and a thorough analytical mind. He is a member of British Computer Society, Institute of Analyst and Programmers, IEEE, ATMIA etc. He was a member of the Central Bank of Nigeria Committee on ATM Fraud and Prevention and another on Card Fraud 

Oyetunde Oyekunle is a seasoned ATM and E-bsuiness/e-banking consultant and Manager. While in NCR, he helped spearhead the development and growth of Nigeria’s e-payment infrastructure. He has consulted for banks like Diamond Bank, First Bank, UBA, Wema Bank, Standard Chartered etc. He is also one of the minds behind the growth of e-infrastructure for Nigeria’s Bank in Africa having worked with Access Bank and UBA expansion in Africa. He is NCR and CR2 trained and commands a lot of respect in the e-business community in Nigeria. He currently works for United Bank for Africa Plc as Head of Digital Banking Sales Lagos. He also has written many IT-related books to his credit.
Oyetunde Oyekunle is a devoted Christian, and enjoys sharing his dream about the future of technology. He is happily married to Oluwatosin Temitope Oyekunle and are blessed with Oluwatobi and Oluwatomi.
