Sandeep Narayanan is a seasoned leader with more than a decade of experience in e-commerce, manufacturing, retail, and distribution. He is currently the Senior Vice President of the 1st African NYSE-listed e-commerce platform Jumia.com.   Sandeep's career in Africa started, with his association with a large family business, with operations across Africa to set up an assembly plant for Samsung consumer electronics in Nigeria and a Diary plant in Uganda. He has held various senior leadership positions and has led large-scale projects in the areas of distribution, manufacturing, and retail for the company with an annual revenue of $1.2Bn. He was also instrumental in getting TPG private equity onboard to scale the Diary plant in Uganda.   In his current role, Sandeep is responsible for driving large brand partnerships, vendor management and building cross-border operations from UAE to Africa for the largest e-commerce platforms in Africa.   Sandeep is known for his exceptional leadership skills and his ability to build high-performing teams. He is a strong believer in continuous learning and encourages his team to stay on top of the latest trends in technology. Sandeep is also a speaker and has delivered talks on various topics related to African entrepreneurship, distribution, and retail.   In his free time, Sandeep enjoys diving and travelling. He is also actively involved in the local startup ecosystem and mentors young entrepreneurs.
