Kareem Abdel-Rahman Head of Global Transaction Banking, QNB-Egypt With 19 years of extensive banking experience, Kareem is a distinguished leader in Global Transaction Banking. His journey in the financial sector began in 2006 at NSGB, specializing in trade operations before transitioning to corporate banking. He played a pivotal role in leading the Export Desk and heading Trade Services. Today, he leads QNB-Egypt’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) department, overseeing Trade Services and Cash Management. Kareem holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Cairo University (2006, Very Good) and an MBA from the University of East London (2024). His expertise is backed by numerous certifications in trade finance, blockchain, SME credit...etc. Kareem’s contributions to the field have been recognized internationally. He was honored by the EBRD in Minsk, Belarus, ranking among the top participants in their advanced trade finance program, earning a prestigious training scholarship at the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) in Austria. Beyond his leadership in banking, Kareem is passionate about education and mentorship. He began teaching CDCS certification courses for bank employees and has since expanded his role as an instructor at institutions like Beacon FinTrain, Nile University, and Big Time. A firm believer in innovation, Kareem has spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives, including:

  • Export Academy (2018): A training initiative in collaboration with Egypt’s leading export councils, guiding companies in expanding their international trade operations.
  • Egypt Trade Map (2020): A digital platform that helps branches attract export-oriented businesses.
  • Trade Viewer Tool (2022): An industry analysis tool aiding various banking departments in assessing trade business activities.
  • GT TREND Analysis (2025): A cutting-edge micro-analysis tool for Egyptian exporters that leverages AI to identify opportunities and assess risks. This analysis can be integrated into the credit memo process, providing deeper insights for financial decision-making.
