Mauro is currently the Senior Director of Renewable Energy at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), part of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), Government of Abu Dhabi, UAE. He also serves as the UAE representative to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) TC82 – Solar Energy Systems. Over more than a decade of collaboration with IEC/TC82, he has previously represented Singapore and Switzerland in the committee.
