H.E. Sharif Salim Al-Olama is the Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. Prior to joining the Ministry in 2020, H.E. Al-Olama held several senior technical and commercial leadership positions at ADNOC, including Senior Vice President of Upstream Strategy, Portfolio Planning & Performance Management; Head of ADNOC’s Executive Office; Senior Vice President of Onshore Gas Assets; Vice President of Southeast Fields Operations; and Vice President of Engineering and Projects. With extensive experience in the oil, gas, and energy sectors, H.E. Al-Olama is highly regarded for his expertise in strategic planning, engineering, project management, performance management, investment, and operations. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Denver, USA, earning his master’s degree in 1998
