Alex van Duuren, Senior Advisor, Research & Development, Immigration and Naturalisation Service

From January 1st 2023 Alex is working as a Senior Advisor Research and Development at the Document and Identity Office of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, Ministry of Justice and Safety, responsible for the production and issuance of the Dutch refugee- alien cards and residence permits. In the past Alex worked for the Expertisecentre IdentityFraud and Document (ECID) for over 11 years and 18 years in total for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, the Dutch immigration agency. In between his professional career at the Dutch government Alex was (co) owner of AVDSolutions and Dexeq for a period of 11 years. All specialized in area of ID and Border Management with a key focus to detect Identity fraud, consulting independently for several Multinational vendors, governments, and as an external subject matter experts on Bordermanagement for Frontex, CePol, IOM and ICMPD. Dexeq, supplier of Document Examination Equipment, supplies over 40 immigration and police agencies worldwide, and is still active with new owners.
