  Alban is the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Standardization within IDEMIA Smart Identity division. In his current role, he is responsible for the follow-up of cybersecurity, identity documents and digital identity standard and regulations.   Alban has been a board member of EUROSMART since 2018 and served as its President from 2021 and 2023. EUROSMART is a professional organization that promotes the technical know-how of the European digital security industry. Alban leads the association’s contribution on digital identity topics, with a strong focus on the revision of eIDAS and digital travel credentials. Since 2021, he has also co-chaired the Cybersecurity and Digital Identity (CDI) Committee of the association. This Committee counts among its members global experts in digital identity, including eIDAS.   Alban FERAUD has over 20 years of experience in normalization and regulatory matters related to digital identity, travel documents, and digital security. He actively participates in numerous standardization groups worldwide. He has in-depth knowledge of digital identity, electronic signature (e.g. eIDAS) and cybersecurity (e.g. CRA, EUCC) from a technical and legal standpoint. Alban holds a BSc Modern Optics from Université de Caen, France, and Bristol University, UK, as well as an MSc in Telecommunication from Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité, France.
