Hannah Rutter, Chief Executive, Office for Digital Identities and Attributes, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT)

Hannah is an experienced civil servant with a track-record of using innovative approaches and new technology to improve public services. Her time in the Cabinet Office’s Government Innovation Group saw her driving new policy-making tools across Whitehall and establishing the world-leading UK Policy Lab. In the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology she has led on various digital and data projects, bringing together citizen, economic and government needs. Since joining the Digital Identity Team in 2019, Hannah has become obsessed with the possibilities for digital identity for the whole UK economy and is excited to be part of driving it forward.
