Over the course of his career, Amit Sharma has engaged in a myriad of roles intersecting financial markets, government service, international finance and banking, risk and regulatory compliance, emerging technology, international development, and national security. He has worked at senior levels in both the private and public sectors, and in both large global institutions and emerging companies/startups, such as Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Command Global Services, and FinClusive, a startup he founded in regulatory technology and identity technologies. His management and strategy experience includes the founding and building of emerging technology and advisory services businesses that engage commercial, banking, regulatory, and technology partners and customers. Amit serves on a number of working groups, advisory councils and boards, including the Center on Economic and Financial Power (CEFP), the Global Digital Currency Association (GDCA), the Digital Asset Regulatory Authority (DARA), the Digital Dollar Project (DDP), and Web3 Identity Coalition, among others. Previously, he worked with the Center for Global Development (CGD), Middlebury’s Center for Social Impact Learning (CSIL), Georgetown University’s Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation. He is frequently asked to speak at finance/banking and national security conferences and has testified numerous times before U.S. Congress and to U.S. federal and international financial services regulators.
