HALO Traffic Systems is formally launching into the highways market at Highways UK. Founded by highways and traffic management specialists who have spent their careers living with the shortcomings of existing equipment, HALO has built its portable signal and live control platform from the ground up, designed and manufactured at its own facility in Nottingham. Operators can take direct control of every signal and asset from a single screen through HALO Command, or hand that responsibility to HALO through its VS1 service, with real-time visibility of location, status and power across every site and the ability to switch phases, hold signals and adjust sequences remotely. The redesigned HALO AP1 signal runs on HALO XCell, a battery system that delivers twice the power at half the weight of traditional units, with no corrosive chemicals and up to ten times the lifespan, and communicates through HALO Link, a patented military-grade radio developed exclusively for HALO to keep connections fast and reliable even on congested, multi-node sites.
