Stephen Elliott is a Senior Forensic Fire Investigator with EFI Global UK and a recognised specialist in lithium-ion battery, battery energy storage system, electric vehicle, and vehicle fire investigations. With over 25 years of experience spanning military engineering, fire and rescue services, and forensic investigation, he has led hundreds of complex fire investigations and provided expert evidence in courts including the Old Bailey. Stephen is an Advanced Automotive Engineer, an IAAI Fire Investigation Technician, and a lecturer in forensic investigation at Cranfield University. He regularly advises insurers, manufacturers, and legal professionals on battery-related fire incidents and emerging energy technologies.
