Dr. Cheung currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer of Asia Era One Co. Ltd (AERA-1). AERA 1 is set up by the Consortium led by CP Group to operate and maintain the Airport Rail Link (now rebranded as City Line), and design, build and operate the highspeed railway linking three airports in Thailand (Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang Airport and U-Tapao Airport). In her position, she is in-charge of all operations, maintenance, and commercial activities of the City Line as well as managing the High-Speed Railway Project.

Before joining AERA-1, Dr. Cheung has over 30 years of working experience with more than half that time at strategic levels with major companies including the Hong Kong Mass Transit Corporation (A Hong Kong public listed company) as Head of Human Resources Development and later Head of Marketing; and Avery Dennison (a Fortune 400 American company) as VP, Global Product Development. Before joining the private sector, Dr. Cheung was the Principal Lecturer of the City University of Hong Kong and has published many research papers and articles on management. Dr. Cheung’s first job after graduation was with the Independent Commission Against Corruption and gained her experience in community relations and training and development.

Dr. Cheung founded Vision Skill Consulting in 2002 serving clients in Hong Kong, Greater China, Thailand and many Asia Pacific countries. In 2006 her business expanded into the Middle East and served customers in the Gulf Region including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Cheung has led technical teams supporting the startup and launch of major railway projects including West Rail Hong Kong, Shanghai Maglev in China, Taiwan High Speed Rail in Taiwan, Dubai Metro in the United Arab Emirates, Al Mashaaer Metro in Saudi Arabia, Klang Valley MRT in Malaysia, Purple Line in Bangkok, Red Line in Bangkok and Pink and Yellow monorail in Bangkok.

Dr. Cheung was advisory member of many advisory committees in Hong Kong including:
• Training for Civil Services Departments
• Quality of Teaching of teachers in Hong Kong
• Business Faculty of Open University of Hong Kong
• Business Faculty of the City University of Hong Kong

Dr. Cheung was the Vice President and has been a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management (HKIHKRM) which qualified human resources personnel and students joining this only Professional Institute for HR personnel in HK.

Dr. Cheung received her bachelor’s degree in science and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong. She was awarded her Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Curtin, Australia.
