Robert Hanczor, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Piper Networks. As a 30-year software engineering veteran and entrepreneurial innovator, Robert has created mission critical systems for a variety of industries including transportation, automotive, and industrial. Piper Networks is currently focused on developing a new generation of transportation navigation and safety solutions. Their goal is to accelerate deployments that help modernize signaling, improve system safety, and generate critical telematic data analysis.

Robert is currently leading several USA initiatives for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York City and Amtrak. A native New Yorker, now residing in San Diego, Robert leads an experienced and dedicated team working to improve rail safety and reliability throughout the industry.
