Mr. Pang Yeow Wei is the Vice President and Head of Engineering Division for the Downtown Line at SBS Transit, responsible for the effective operations and maintenance of the metro systems to achieve high levels of safety and reliability performance. Before assuming this appointment, he had helmed various senior roles including the Head of Rail Projects as well as the Head of Rail Risk. Mr. Pang is accredited as a Chartered Engineer by both the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) and the Engineering Council, United Kingdom. He had served on the IES Chartered Engineer Professional Assessment Panel, reviewing candidates, to uphold the professional engineering competency standards in Singapore. Prior to joining SBS Transit, Mr. Pang had a distinguished 20-year career with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, holding various command and staff appointments in engineering, maintenance, logistics, and planning. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from McGill University, a Master of Science from the National University of Singapore, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University.
