Ayushman Bhatt, Assistant Professor, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)

Dr. Ayushman Bhatt is an Assistant professor of Civil & Infrastructure Engineering at the School of Engineering and Technology (SET). He works in the area of transportation planning and policy, contributing to the AIT’s Transportation Engineering (TRE) program. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the University of Tokyo in civil engineering. His research interests include socioeconomic impact investigation of transportation projects, transportation policy studies, and sustainable transportation. Dr. Ayushman’s prior experience includes working as research fellow at Singapore University of Technology and Design; postdoc at University of Tokyo; and research associate at Asian Development Bank (ADB) Institute. His recent work encompassed studying various externalities synthesized by transportation projects, including socioeconomic and environmental phenomena of knowledge economy, urban development, urban metabolism, and anthropogenic heat emissions. He has published in refereed international journals and actively contributes to the conferences and societies in the field of transportation.
