Dr. Andrew Keong Ng is an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He serves as Programme Leader for the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, the Master of Engineering Technology, the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Land), and the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Engineering Systems. Dr. Ng is a Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and is actively involved in both international and local professional bodies, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE). He is a Senior Member of both IEEE and IES, serves as a consultant and advisor to startups and multinational corporations, and is a Topic Editor for journals published by the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute. As a Principal Investigator, Dr. Ng has secured research grants exceeding SGD 1.6 million. He holds one international patent, has co-authored two books, and has published over 35 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers as both first and corresponding author. His research and development innovations have been recognised through several prestigious awards, including Outstanding Researcher Award, Teaching Excellence Award, Amity Researcher Award, Young Investigator Award, and National Instruments Editor’s Choice Engineering Impact Award. Dr. Ng has delivered keynote and invited talks at more than 25 international conferences. He is also frequently cited and interviewed by the media on railway transportation and related current affairs.
