Muhammad is a composite mechanics professional and laboratory leader based in Saudi Arabia. He serves as Senior Laboratory Specialist and Lab Operations Manager at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), where he oversees the Materials Characterization and Electron Microscopy (MCEM) Lab. His responsibilities span day-to-day equipment operations, lab restructuring for ISO laboratory standard compliance, SOPs, safety protocols, and the management of both mechanical and chemical characterization areas.
Alongside his role at KAUST, Muhammad is the Founder and CEO of Scientific Assistance Corporation (SCIA), an ISO 9001- and ISO 45001-certified metallography and materials testing solutions provider and authorized Struers distributor in Saudi Arabia. He also serves as Operational Director of SASCOM — the Saudi Arabian Society for Composite Materials — a non-profit delivering composites training, seminars, and technical consultation to the industry, and is actively engaged with ENERCOMP (Energizing Composite), driving industry partnerships that connect composite mechanics expertise with key players across the Oil & Gas Saudi defense, manufacturing, and research sectors.
Muhammad's technical expertise covers metallography, hardness testing, composite inspection, and ASTM/ISO-based laboratory workflows.
