Khalid Alfhaid is a seasoned pharmaceutical quality and regulatory affairs leader with over 30 years of experience, including more than two decades in senior management roles. He currently serves as the Regional Quality Director for Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa at AMGEN, where he leads a diverse team to ensure quality oversight across end-to-end distribution activities.
Khalid holds MBA and BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from King Saud University and has held pivotal roles in both the public and private sectors, including Riyadh Pharma and the Saudi Ministry of Health. His expertise spans GMP, regulatory compliance, and strategic quality leadership.
He has contributed extensively to regional pharmaceutical development through committee work with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Gulf Health Council (GHC), and academic involvement as a part-time lecturer at King Saud University. Khalid is also a frequent speaker at international conferences and workshops, including events hosted by ISPE, Rx-360, and the SFDA, and is an active member of number of professional Societies and Rx-360’s Africa and Middle East Working Group. His career is marked by a deep commitment to advancing regulatory excellence, pharmaceutical quality, and healthcare outcomes in the region.
