Dr. Sibtain Haider is a postdoctoral researcher at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg, working in the field of genome and epigenome engineering. His research focuses on developing CRISPR-based technologies for precise genome editing, DNA repair modulation, and targeted epigenome editing. He developed the CRISPR Peptide-Assisted Localization (CRISPR-PAL) platform, which enables programmable recruitment of DNA repair and chromatin-modifying effectors to defined genomic loci. His current work explores the application of these technologies to improve genome editing and develop targeted approaches for genetic and epigenetic diseases.
