Lara is SVP, Head of Research and Translational Science at Resolution Therapeutics, a spin-out of the University of Edinburgh. In her role, she sets the Research strategy at RTx and oversees its execution to promote the progression of Resolution’s lead asset RTX001 through the preclinical and clinical phases, and she is responsible for Resolution’s pipeline development. Her long-term research interest is in the role of macrophages in tissue repair, and how to translate their therapeutic potential to treat chronic inflammatory diseases with a fibrotic component, such as decompensated liver cirrhosis. She is author of more than 20 papers on international peer-reviewed journals, and co-inventor on five patents. Lara has presented her results at national and international conferences, including at the American Association for the Study of Liver, and in invited talks in the US, Europe and UK.
