Catia Andreassi, PhD is RNA biology Director at AviadoBio in London, United Kingdom. She is an expert molecular and cellular neurobiologist that joined AviadoBio to develop gene silencing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases like ALS and FTD. Her Team employs NGS technologies and cell biology techniques to support targets and biomarkers selection, to refine viral vector design and to study the impact of gene therapy approaches on cell metabolism. Previously, she had pursued an intense and successful academic career at UCL investigating the role played by RNA metabolism and its dis-regulation in neuronal development and disease. Catia holds a M.Sc. in Biological Sciences -University of Pisa (Italy) and a PhD in Clinical Pathology-University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Rome, Italy).
