Michael Mellinghoff, Managing Director, TechFluence

Michael is a seasoned investment professional with over 15 years of experience, spanning both the traditional banking and fintech world . Michael’s career covers a 10 years span in traditional banking, where he held a variety of managerial positions in asset management and investment banking in Germany and abroad, including management board and supervisory board appointments in Commerzbank Asset Management and DZ Bank Group. Since 2010, Michael has been working in the Fintech area, including a 3+ years experience as Managing Director with German Fintech pioneer sharewise.com, a stock centric community for individual investors, where he has gained vast experience in running a startup. Michael’s experience gives him unique insights into the financial markets scene and ability to scout new trends in the financial sector. Since the tradesale of sharewise he has been active in the UK and German Fintech scene, advising founders and startups as well as acting as Senior Advisor and mentor with FinTechForum in Frankfurt as well as various accelerators. Since 2015 Michael is member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Digital Banking.   Michael’s focus of interest are Fintech startups in digital wealth management and social investment. @Mellinghoff is author of various articles on #Fintech related topics, for example The FinTechBook and TheWealthTechBook, published by Wiley.

WealthTech Start-Up Pitches

Given the variety of start-ups and WealthTech firms within the Wealth Management industry and the increasing challenge to work out who to engage with to meet your business needs, this session will allow organisations to get their brand and solutions out into the investment community. Our aim is to provide a platform for this fresh entrepreneurial spirit to flourish.We will be hosting a round of start-up pitches where each budding and innovative organisation will have 5 minutes to pitch. Pitches will be split into B2C and B2B groupings.
