Mangala Abeysekara is Senior Engineer – Product Development (CPE, Voice & VAS) at Sri Lanka Telecom, bringing more than 19 years of experience across telecommunications engineering, enterprise solutions, technical support and network infrastructure.

Since joining Sri Lanka Telecom in 2007, Mangala has held several engineering positions spanning SME solutions, technical support, power infrastructure planning and telecommunications facilities. His experience includes developing technical solutions for SME customers, supporting regional sales engineering teams and collaborating with product development teams to address enterprise connectivity requirements.

Earlier in his career at Sri Lanka Telecom, Mangala specialised in power infrastructure planning and design for telecommunications exchanges, base transceiver stations and data centres. His responsibilities covered power distribution, protection systems, precision air conditioning, DC and UPS systems, as well as technical specifications, tender preparation and evaluations.

Mangala holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Open University of Sri Lanka. His expertise spans telecommunications product development, SME solutions, IP networking, data centre infrastructure and technical engineering.
