Mr. Kheny is currently the Managing Director at Solis Ventures LLC, specializing in providing consulting services for the SubSea Industry. He is based out of the New York – New Jersey metropolitan area. Solis Ventures works, as an Associate Partner, with DRG Undersea Consulting and other industry consultants.
Mr. Kheny has over 30 years of experience in SubSea System Planning, Design, Implementation and Operations having worked for companies including telecom carriers, content players, suppliers and consultants. Mr. Kheny has been associated with several of the world’s SubSea projects across the various phases of SubSea Program planning, implementation and operations.
Mr. Kheny has previously worked as lead and senior positions in AT&T Bell Laboratories, Tyco Telecommunications, Meta and SubCom. He has also worked with many consultant companies in the US, Europe, Middle East and South and South-East Asia, representing a broad mix of public and private sector clientele and provided them with a variety of services including business development, business due diligence, subsea system design and planning and project and operations management.
Immediately prior to restarting his consultancy work in Solis Ventures LLC in 2025, Mr. Kheny was Senior Director of Marine Procurement Management for SubCom, where he was leading a team responsible for global strategic procurement activities for all of SubCom’s third party Marine Suppliers.
Prior to that, Mr Kheny was the Lead for Meta’s Global Program Management Team responsible for SubSea Networks Infrastructure, where he lead and worked with a cross-functional team of global program managers, engineers and investment managers and partnered with industry carriers, content players and suppliers.
Mr. Kheny holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronic Engineering and an MBA in Management and Marketing.
Mr. Kheny has served as an elected member of the SubOptic Associtation’s Executive Team from 2019 to 2023.  Mr. Kheny has a passion for training and developing new entrants to the industry and has proactively participated in activities such as Internship programs in Meta as well as development of the Wave program in the USA for SubOptic. Currently, Mr Kheny serves as a Trustee & Board member of the SubOptic Foundation. Mr. Kheny loves traveling and has traveled to over 70 countries. He also volunteers his time on weekends to support the Red Cross in NJ, USA.
