Femke Woudstra is Director Station management and Exploitation at the Dutch Railways. She is responsible for the daily operation at all 400 railway stations in the Netherlands. In pre-Corona times these stations had around 2.5 million visitors each day. Her goal is to give the station visitors an optimal experience, every day again. By keeping the stations clean, well maintained and safe. By exploitation of an attractive range of (over 750!) shops and services. These services include the exploitation of bike and care parking at the stations and the exploitation of the popular Dutch public transport bike sharing concept with over 5 million bike rides last year.
Recently Femke was responsible for implementing Corona measurements at the stations and in the trains.
