Prof Ming-Chu Wang, Superintendent of Chu Tung Branch, National Taiwan University Hospital

Professor Ming Chu Wang is the Superintendent of National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), Chu-Tung branch since Aug 2013.

He started his career as secretary of Medical Affairs at NTUH in 2005 and was promoted as vice superintendent and also the director of the Development and Planning Office of NTUH since 2008 till Aug 2013.

He was the director of Cardiovascular Center (CVC) NTUH, which was developed and planned for 3 years and established in 2012. This CVC was the first integrated medical services model that included cardiology and vascular medicine and cardiovascular surgery. The case of CVC won the Silver Prize of the National Biotechnology and Medical Quality Award. Professor Wang’s was nominated the top ten Super MVP manager in 2011. He won the prize of Top 5 best CIO of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, by CEO CIO in 2012 and won the prize of National Industrial Innovation Award in 2013.

  • Facing the challenge of rapidly increasing aging population and the lowest birth rate since 10 years before, the medical industry in Taiwan must embrace the information and communication technology and the lean concept originated from the Toyota production system to meet the increasing demand with less supply and kept same cost.
