NVM Express Completes the Live Migration Story

NVM Express has completed the last of the functionality that completes the live migration story. This presentation walks through the story of migrating a Virtual Machines (VM) where the hypervisor manages the hardware abstraction and the new migration of a VM where the SSD manages that hardware abstraction giving the VM direct access to the Admin Queue. The new Quality of Service functionality allows the management of the bandwidth and IOPS for each VM, and the management the bandwidth and IOPS of the live migration the SSD resources used by the migrating VM.
