Dr. Victor M Diaz is Head of Research at OneChain Immunotherapeutics, where he leads the development of advanced cell and gene therapies with a strong translational and industrial focus. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Barcelona and trained as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the San Raffaele Institute (Milan), followed by a junior research position at IMIM–Hospital del Mar and as Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Pompeu Fabra University. Since joining OneChain in 2020, he has directed preclinical CAR-T programs from discovery to IND-enabling stages, contributing to multiple patent families and supporting EMA and FDA Orphan Drug Designations. His expertise spans CAR design, lentiviral vector engineering, and early CMC strategy for ATMPs. He has played a key role in advancing a CAR-T candidate into first-in-human clinical evaluation (https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT05679895) and in building scalable development pipelines for both autologous and allogeneic platforms, including γδ T-cell approaches.
