Jo Furber is the Digital Infrastructure Relationship Manager at West Sussex County Council and plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of connectivity in the region. She's supported local authorities to navigate the complex landscape of telecommunications since the early days of Local Broadband Plans and brings a wealth of experience to her role, driving initiatives to improve broadband access, mobile connectivity, and digital inclusion for residents and businesses.

Jo has a collaborative approach, working closely with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and local communities to develop innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of the digital landscape. Her strategic vision and strong communication skills have enabled her to build effective partnerships to secure funding and deliver key infrastructure projects, ensuring that West Sussex remains at the forefront of digital innovation. Jo is currently leading the Growing Sussex 5G Innovation Region which is an exciting project to advance digital technologies and support data-driven decision making in food and wine production.
