Simone Albrecht is Senior Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin where she is member of the “Characterisation and Comparability Laboratory” led by Dr Jonathan Bones. Her current research focuses on the development and application of LC-MS based proteomics workflows for the identification of cell viability markers in perfusion biomanufacturing. In 2011 she received her PhD degree in Carbohydrate Biochemistry from Wageningen University (the Netherlands). Simone joined NIBRT in 2012 and has vast experience in glycomics and proteomics applications in biopharmaceuticals research. She has worked on numerous industrial, governmental and academic collaborations and is author of more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
