Ahmed Besheer is a pharmacist by education and training, and holds a M.Sc. in polymer science, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from Martin-Luther university of Halle, Germany. He worked as a postdoc at Merck Serono in Darmstadt, and as assistant professor in the Pharmaceutical Technology department at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. He joined Novartis in 2013 as drug product lead for biologics. Since the begining of 2016, he leads a group in the Early Phase development unit responsible for formulation development of NBEs, including mAbs, Fabs, fusion proteins, bispecifics and other exotic formats.
