Lahiru Ranasinghe is easyJet’s Director of Sustainability. Lahiru is one of the chief architects behind the airline’s net zero roadmap, which it aims to achieve through a combination of operational efficiencies, airspace modernisation, fleet renewal, use of sustainable aviation fuels, zero carbon emissions aircraft and carbon removal technologies. Lahiru joined easyJet in 2019, starting out in the strategy team following roles at British Airways and Virgin Atlantic before specialising in sustainability. He also holds an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London.
