Experience Before joining Imperial Holdings, Taryn was the Head of Talent Management, People development and Succession Planning at Liberty. While there, she initiated the practice of Talent Management within the Group and worked personally with top executives of both Liberty and Stanlib.  
 
Previously, Taryn was an HR generalist at Senior Management level and formed part of several Executive Teams across the Financial Industry. 

Current Role Recently increased her accountability to that of Group Executive: Organisation Effectiveness for the Imperial Group. In this newly created role, Taryn has been mandated to implement leading edge talent management processes to drive performance, succession and transformation across the Imperial group, as well as define key HR practices that will enable the group to unlock its full potential including, but not limited to, job profiling, HR technology and BI, change management and organisation design and development.

Educational Background Taryn holds a BA Human Resources (Cum Laude), a BA Honours Industrial Psychology (Cum Laude) and an MA in Industrial Psychology- all from the University of Johannesburg, as well as a certificate in financial management from UCT.
  
Professional Affiliations As a thought leader in the field of industrial psychology, Taryn has written numerous articles, as well as been the Chairperson for the Johannesburg Branch of the Society for Industrial Psychologists South Africa.

Personal Taryn is married with two young sons, Joseph (6) and Gabriel (3), is an avid gym goer and a foodie.
