Rob Graff is a global, national, and regional technical and policy expert with more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience. He has experience in vehicle electrification, energy & GHG accounting, climate change adaptation, business and sustainability, and clean energy.
He serves as Senior Technical Advisor for NACFE where his work focus on the transformation from fossil fuel to electric power trains for trucking. This includes exploring and addressing the challenges of assuring reliable charging infrastructure, changes that may be required in operations, and matching use cases with the appropriate technologies.
From 2021 through 2023, Mr. Graff also worked for RMI, where his work focused on overcoming the so-called “soft-cost” challenges of vehicle electrification, such as permitting, inspection, and interconnection. He also serves as a connector between various organizations.Prior to his work for RMI and NACFE, Mr. Graff founded and led the Office of Energy and Climate Change Initiatives for the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, the MPO for Greater Philadelphia. He planned and oversaw transportation electrification initiatives over the last decade and established and led an agency-only forum for eleven public transit agencies with over 20,000 buses to discuss and share the opportunities and challenges for transitioning to battery-electric buses.
Prior to his work at DVRPC, Mr. Graff was a key player in the establishment of the Global Reporting Initiative, the de facto global standard for organizational sustainability reporting.
Mr. Graff holds a BA in Engineering Sciences modified with Anthropology from Dartmouth College and an MPA-URP from Princeton University.
