Serryn O'Regan, Executive Manager Governance & General Counsel, Evolve College

Serryn has 30 years’ experience in business and law with a specialisation in education.
Having led legal deals worth up to A$2.4 Billion, and worked in 3 heavily regulated industries,
Serryn is adept at navigating a complex environment, and making it all about quality. Serryn is
CEO and Director of Equinim College. For the past 8 years, she has served as Executive Manager
Governance & General Counsel at Evolve College, with 17 campuses across Australia.

Serryn personally was named by ASQA’s previous Chief Commissioner as an exemplar in education at
the Velg National VET Conference in 2019, and Serryn is absolutely committed to higher and vocational
education and their value to the Australian public.

Serryn is a member of the ASQA Stakeholders Liaison Group which advises and provides
recommendations on the future regulation and education of providers in the sector. Serryn’s membership
on that group is solely to support the true advance of education in this sector. Serryn also sits on three
ASQA sub-committees, on provider self-assurance, online education, and cost recovery. Serryn was also
requested by ASQA to provide a best practice case study on online learning, which is published on
ASQA’s website. She has featured twice on ASQA videos in the Spotlight On series.

Serryn is a member of the VET Student Loans Provider Reference Group administered by the
Commonwealth Department of Education. She is also Deputy Chair of the NSW Committee of ITECA, the
peak body for private higher education providers, and she sits on the Professional Development
Committee for ITECA. Serryn has been an official mentor to lawyers for the Association of Corporate
Counsel for the past three years, and she was shortlisted for Corporate Counsel of the Year in 2018. She
has also previously served as a member of the NSW Law Society Senior Solicitors Panel, and the NSW
Law Society Ethics Committee. Serryn has also presented on Professionalism, Integrity and Ethics for the
Modern Lawyer for the Law Society of NSW.

Serryn has led global educational campaigns for a renowned charity based in Washington DC, which
charity reaches 1 billion people worldwide. She has been asked to consult and speak both in Australia
and internationally, drawing on her extensive experience and expertise in the education space.
