MJ Raatz would describe himself as a fun, innovative and a Life-Long-Learner. He commenced his teaching in 2000 with a very special project at Ipswich State High School. Since then he has been a leading advocate for Adobe as an Adobe Education Leader, and invested a lot of time helping and support staff and students through the Microsoft Office Specialist program. MJ has had the pleasure of being a member of the QSITE board, and a BEAQ Fellow. He has been lecturing at University of Queensland since 2011 in Digital Technologies. In 2018 he was thrown into the Esports world and has learnt a lot since then, especially keeping kids safe online. He lead the creation of Oceania’s first esports higher education qualification – Diploma of Esports (Queensland University of Technology) in 2021. In his personal life he loves his lawn, fishing, poker and most of all Texas BBQ with family and friends. What a fun life this guy has.
