Director, Educational Support, Rural Initiatives and COVID 19 NSW Taskforce, Learning from Home, NSW Department of Education Bio: In her 27 years with the NSW Department of Education, Michelle has held senior leadership roles across the Department at a school level, Taronga Zoo, Climate Change Education, STEM Education and Arts Education. Michelle currently holds the position of Director, Educational Support, Rural Initiatives and COVID 19 NSW Taskforce, Learning from Home. She has previously held the role of Director, Learning Design. Leading NSW Department of Education initiatives in hybrid and virtual learning, Michelle has presented alongside leading education experts including the late Sir Ken Robinson and has been recognised by the Australian College of Educators (ACE) for her Outstanding Contribution in Digital Technologies and Quality Teaching to the NSW teaching profession. Leading the NSW Learning from Home system wide response during the COVID 19 pandemic, Michelle is fortunate to lead large team of energetic, forward thinking, pedagogical and technical experts who are committed to preparing all students in NSW public schools to meet the challenges of a dynamic regional and global future.
