Colin Northmore | Principal

Colin is the Principal of the Evolve Online SChool. He started his teaching career in 1987 after graduating with a BA(Ed) from Wits University. Over the next 12 years, he moved through the ranks as a Head of English and Deputy Principal. He then began work as a consultant at the Catholic Institute of Education. He completed his BED(Hons) and MEd also at Wits.

In 2003 Colin become the Executive Head of Sacred Heart College. He drove the technological transformation of this school, ensuring that they were the first South African school to use iPads. In 2008 he founded the Three2Six refugee education programme which provided education, clothing and feeding to primary school refugee children. 

Colin is passionate about the development of a personalized learning experience for each student. He believes that the perfect storm of cognitive science, technology and educational theory will redefine teaching and learning.
