Serena graduated from the University of Bristol in 2007.  After several years in general practice, (including a year in Brisbane, Australia) she embarked upon a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London. This was followed by a specialist ophthalmology internship at the historic Animal Health Trust in Newmarket.  Serena completed her ophthalmology residency at Langford Vets (University of Bristol) in 2018.   In 2019, Serena moved back to the RVC where she is now Lecturer and co-Head of Ophthalmology.
