Michelle Neil
Lawyer | Vitality Law Australia
Michelle is a commercial and property lawyer who specialises in assisting the healthcare industry, including vets. She is also a member of the Australian Veterinary Palliative Care Advisory Council and voluntarily assists the Council with legal research.
Law is Michelle’s second career, inspired by her passion for empowering others during challenging decision-making processes. While completing her law degree in 2020, Michelle began working at a prominent Sunshine Coast property, commercial and succession planning law firm before moving to Vitality Law Australia, a boutique law firm with a focus on healthcare business transactions including providing legal advice and assistance on business ownership structures, partnership and shareholder agreements, leasing, sale and purchase of businesses, and managing employees.
Before transitioning to law, Michelle spent over 15 years in the veterinary field as a general and emergency vet nurse, working with both domestic animals and native wildlife. She has worked for organisations such as Guide Dogs New South Wales and Queensland, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Australia Zoo, and she held roles as a veterinary nurse trainer and assessor, and nurse and practice manager for major veterinary corporations. Michelle continues to work as a casual wildlife veterinary nurse at a Koala specific veterinary practice on the Sunshine Coast.
At Vitality Law Australia, Michelle combines her legal knowledge with her enduring passion for the veterinary and health sectors and supports clients across the healthcare industry by providing expert legal advice.
