Dr. Rudolf Rechsteiner is an independent Senior Expert in Energy Policy & Renewables, an economist and consultant through his firm re-solution.ch. He served as a member of the Swiss National Council from 1995 to 2010, where he championed Switzerland's introduction of feed-in tariffs for clean electricity, and has taught energy policy, renewable energy, and the transformation of energy systems at ETH Zürich, the University of Basel, the University of Bern, and other Swiss institutions. He is also president of the Ethos Foundation in Geneva and has authored several books on renewable energy transition.
