Dr. Marina Gonzalez Vaya leads New Technology, Data & AI at EKZ. Together with her team, she works on how data, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies can be applied in a practical and responsible way across the organisation. Before focusing on AI at scale, Marina spent more than a decade working on smart grids, flexibility and digital energy solutions. She holds a PhD from ETH Zürich and has led initiatives ranging from intelligent grid solutions and dynamic tariffs to building data and AI capabilities within a large energy utility. Her particular interest lies in the realities of AI adoption: how organisations move beyond pilots and experiments to create sustainable value through the right combination of people, processes and technology.
