Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Luân is the Chairman of Lâm San Farmers' Cooperative, where he pioneers climate-smart farming and processing towards a net-zero rural economy in Vietnam.
Recognizing the challenges of climate change, Mr. Luân has championed organic and agroforestry farming models suitable for smallholder farmers across Southeast Vietnam and the Central Highlands. Under his leadership, Lâm San Farmers' Cooperative has organized contract farming and value chain models for coffee, pepper, and cocoa, working with 16 cooperatives and over 5,000 farmers to promote sustainable practices.

Since its establishment in 2014, the cooperative has achieved strong export milestones, including exporting over 1,000 tons of pepper, with 85% shipped to European markets and the remainder to Japan, China, and South Korea. Mr. Luân has also invested in mechanization and processing facilities, launching white pepper production to increase export value by 50% compared to conventional black pepper.

Mr. Luân’s approach integrates circular nutrient management, the use of solar-powered irrigation, and renewable biomass energy within farming and processing, positioning Lâm San Farmers' Cooperative as a practical model for climate adaptation and low-carbon agriculture in Vietnam.
