Cecille Domingo has broken through the glass ceiling in an industry many consider the domain of men. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1990, she began working for Meralco, the Philippines’ largest distribution utility, as ayoung cadet engineer, a by-invitation-only position reserved for the best and brightest. Domingo thrived, refining engineering and operational skills while steadily moving up various senior headship positions in sales, where she was routinely distinguished as one of the utility’s most outstanding employees in 2001 (Supervisory Level) and 2005 (Managerial Level). A fast riser, she was promoted from Head of Central Sales Office to Head of Meralco Biz Partners, which oversees Meralco’s relationship with about 100,000 Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) accounts, to her current role as Vice-President and Head of Meralco Enterprise and National Government, the segment that provides customized energy solutions for the country’s largest corporations and conglomerates in support of their operational efficiency and profitability goals. She was also appointed as President and CEO of MSpectrum, Inc. , a 100% owned subsidiary of Meralco providing solar solutions to all customers of Meralco and even in the whole Philippines. Married, with two children, Domingo’s leadership style is anchored on spirituality and teachings of the Scripture that espouse how God must also be present in one’s work life. Cecille enjoys traveling and spending time with her family during her spare time. She also has an EMBA from the Asian Institute of Management in 2011.
